    Guvernul Romaniei hotaraste:

    Art. 1
    Regia Autonoma de Electricitate - "Renel" este autorizata sa contracteze, in scopul finantarii unei parti din importul de pacura prevazut in Programul energetic national 1996-1997, un credit extern de pana la 160 milioane dolari S.U.A.
    Art. 2
    Ministerul Finantelor este imputernicit ca, in baza art. 12 din Legea nr. 91/1993 privind datoria publica, sa garanteze creditul extern contractat de Regia Autonoma de Electricitate "Renel" pentru importul de pacura prevazut la art. 1, precum si dobanda si alte costuri aferente acestui credit extern.
    Art. 3
    Valuta necesara efectuarii, la scadenta, a platilor la extern aferente importurilor de pacura va fi asigurata Regiei Autonome de Electricitate "Renel" in conditiile Hotararii Guvernului nr. 469/1996.
